New management = worst management to date. Their "Pool Guy" Clay is allowed to open and close the pool as he see's fit, on weekends he comes down, unlocks it, and slides all the new pool furniture across the pool deck, scratching up both, so he can set up a spot of 12 + chairs and tables in the middle and wrap towels around all of them for HIS FRIENDS who may come out there. He then proceeds to use a cart stolen from Winn Dixie to empty all the trash encouraging other residents to take Winn Dixies cart's for their own personal use. End of the night, he sits up in his 5th floor balcony and shines a spotlight down over the pool waving it and blinding anyone walking along the paths.
Motorcycles and Mopeds are now allowed to be stored on balcony's, seeing how people drive by and steal them strait out of the parking lot and Management will not even send out a notice asking other residents for help, or if they saw anything. Have a grill? Perfect, you can store it as well on the balcony. Have an issue, call the office, well the office call center which is not on sight and there appears to 0 communication between the 2, hell there appears to be 0 communication with the ever changing front office staff.
Best advice, find some awSOMe living anywhere else. Paper thin walls, closet meant for a weekend visit, VIP only reserved pool spots, overflowing trash bins at the end of each hall.
JULY 17th UPDATE: Now CLAY thinks is great to bring food and drinks to the pool even though the sign clearly states you can not, well other residents can not. Pool hours, Dawn to Dusk, or whenever Clay wants to open and close the pool up to and past midnight since he allows his friends to stay as late as they want, but if they are not down there he closes it at 9pm... WTF> What doe's this dude have on 79 West Apartments that they allow him to run the place?
AUGUST 14th UPDATE: As more neighbors take to doing activities on there porch, they now include running a furniture remodeling shop, storing trash in trash bags, keeping pets tied up out there, as well as the usual moped/motorcycle garage. Clay seems to have received a hint to act a little less entitled at the pool he "manages", though it is pretty sad, and honestly scary watching the way he acts around younger guys. At last let us not forget this faithful day, and the last sentence of how the neighbors truly feel here. compliments of the News Herald.
"PANAMA CITY BEACH -- A teenager is dead and four people in custody after shots were fired during an attempted drug robbery in the 79 West Apartments Monday afternoon, police said.
This is not the first time there have been issues at 79 West Apartments. In March, 43-year-old Shawn Anthony Dumitras of Villa Rica, Georgia, was shot and killed by police at the complex. PCBPD officials reported Dumitras had a history of drug trafficking and firearm offenses. At the time of his death, they reported, he had an active warrant from the U.S. Marshals Service for drug trafficking. He became hostile when approached by police.
Neighbors also said there are consistent problems with drugs at the complex."
