Solid wood bunk bed, designed & built by my husband for durability and ease of assembly/disassembly. Please note photos showing the peg and hole joints that hold the solid wood uprights and crosspieces together. On the back side of those joints, recessed 7/16" lag screws further strengthen the joints. The top bunk's guard rails use the same peg system; the ladder is also solid wood and is held securely in place with stout screws. The head of the bed has built-in shelves. Slats (not included) rest on solid built-in ledges. Bed design allows for standard twin mattresses. We have used it as 2 bunks; top bunk only with desk or dresser underneath; bottom bunk only - whatever we needed at the time. All hardware is included.
It is a very nice piece of furniture which I would keep if I could. However, kids are grown, grandkids don't need it, and there's no room for it in my little retirement house.
Sorry, but I forgot to take its measurements when I took the photos. I'll try to rectify that and post an update soon.
